About this role
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer I to join one of our Mino teams and start building a serious engineering career. You might be fresh out of university or a few years in — either way, you'll learn faster here than anywhere else, because you'll be shipping real software for real products from day one.
At Tetrifox, junior engineers aren't sidelined with busywork. You'll work inside an embedded product team alongside experienced engineers, a Technical Lead, and a Product Owner. You'll get meaningful code reviews, pair with seniors on hard problems, and see your features reach production. This is an internship-friendly role — we welcome candidates with 0–4 years of experience.
This is a remote role based in India, working within a globally distributed Mino.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your Mino team to build and maintain software features under the guidance of senior engineers
- Write clean, well-structured code and participate in testing to ensure quality and reliability
- Learn and apply software development best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns
- Participate in code reviews — absorb feedback and start developing an eye for code quality
- Help investigate and fix software defects, learning debugging and root-cause analysis along the way
- Join sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives — contribute your perspective as a team member
- Stay curious — explore new technologies, tools, and techniques, and bring ideas back to the team
- Document your work and share knowledge with fellow junior engineers
Requirements
- 0–4 years of professional software development experience (internship experience counts)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language: C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development tools
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills — you can ask clear questions and explain your thinking
- Self-motivated and eager to grow within a professional engineering environment
Nice to have
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio that shows initiative
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (even through coursework or bootcamps)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with any frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular)
- Experience with unit testing or test-driven development concepts
- Interest in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering
