About this role
We're hiring a Software Development Engineer II to join one of our embedded Mino teams. This is the sweet spot of engineering at Tetrifox: you're experienced enough to own features end-to-end, but you're still growing — and we invest in that growth deliberately.
As an SDE II, you'll work inside a client's product organisation as a core team member. You'll ship features that real users depend on, collaborate daily with Product Owners and Technical Leads, and sharpen your craft through pairing and code review with senior engineers. You'll be trusted with meaningful work from day one.
This is a remote role based in India, working within a globally distributed Mino.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality software features across the stack, following established architectural patterns and coding standards
- Collaborate with peers, team leads, QA engineers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into working software
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code — then test it thoroughly before it ships
- Participate actively in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Identify and resolve software defects, investigating root causes and implementing reliable fixes
- Contribute to sprint planning and technical discussions within your Mino
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends — and share what you learn
- Help improve development processes and workflows to boost team velocity and code quality
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Working knowledge of version control (Git), IDEs, and issue tracking systems
- Experience shipping features in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated with genuine curiosity and a drive to keep learning
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools
- Understanding of SOLID principles and common design patterns
- Experience developing cloud-based applications
- Proficiency with unit testing frameworks
- Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks
- Interest in emerging trends such as generative AI
